Before COVID put an end to the past two Melbourne Cup Parades we proudly took part in the event in 2019 with Bart Cummings trained 18 yr old Sirmione who ran in the 2007 Melbourne Cup finishing in 12th and staying warrior 16 yr old Precedence who ran in four Melbourne Cups , 2010(8th), 2011 (11th), 2012 (9th) & 2014 (6th) which is a huge achievement in itself.
We led the contingent of Off The Track Horses in the parade show casing Life After Racing for the amazing thoroughbreds, both of these horses have had successful second careers as show horses and have certainly shed light on just how versatile the thoroughbred is and what they can do following a racing career. Not even the Melbourne rain could dampen how proud we were to show the boys off in the city.
Precedence and Sirmione our R.A.C.E.D Ambassadors and we look forward to participating in future Melbourne Cup Parades.
